Ready for Winter?

So Winter, a time for the garden to sleep and rest. A time to clean out your garden so that when it's spring of next year, you can jump right back in and get dirty.
Well... that's how most people do it, but most vegetable you probably eat only grow in winter. Here is a list of some winter crops:
  1. Asparagus
  2. Garlic (they can grow anytime)
  3. Onions (same as garlic)
  4. Lettuce
  5. Kale
  6. Broccoli
  7. Cauliflower
  8. Brussels Sprouts
  9. Radishes
  10. Carrots
  11. Beets
  12. Parsnips & Turnips
  13. Oranges (you harvest them in winter)
  14. Potatoes (you can either plant or harvest this time of year)
  15. Sweet Potatoes (same as potatoes)
  16. Berries (You harvest from Late-Fall to Early-Spring)
And in order to get this wonderful bounty of food... you need to start between now and generally the second week of September.
