Resurgence of a Passion Lost in Youth

This is the first website I made. You'll find advice about agriculture, questions from readers, and many MANY posts about the vegetables I harvested, almost every day from my garden. It was about me sharing what I loved with the world.

Over the years, however, I fell away from the garden. It became harder and harder to make time for this passion I've had all my life. This time, enough is enough. It is time to rekindle that fire, reignite those coals, replant those seeds if you will.

I will no longer be updating this blog, but it will forever be visible to the public. This blog was the seed, the seed that will someday be a tree that supports life within and around it.

Thank you for reading this post. Now it's time to visit The Earthworker.

Catchup Series 2: Anab

Anab, or Jujube as it's know in english, is one of my favorite fruits. They're about the size of apricots, have a seed like an olive, and taste like really sweet dry apple. Take a look:

Catchup Series 1: Salamanders

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve updated... Anything really. So I thought I would take the time and over the next few weeks I would update you guys on all of the stuff that has been happening in the garden. First thing, we have guests:

Salamanders! These guys were everywhere under my sweet potato plants. These guys are a good sign. First, because there were so many, that means they were eating the bugs that could have caused disease to the plant. Second, these guys are REALLY cool. I did some digging and found out that they are Arboreal Salamanders. They get that name because they are generally found at the base of trees. They can breathe underwater, and don't have lungs or gills. They breathe through their skin! It's pretty amazing what these little guys can do.
